Images and videos load faster, and the theme now works properly with screen readers and keyboard navigation.
Faster media delivery
Images and videos now stay cached longer in browsers and delivery networks, so repeat visits load them instantly. Videos also begin playing sooner, and missing files are no longer cached, so a newly uploaded image appears straight away rather than waiting for an old response to expire.
Built for screen readers and keyboard navigation
Alongside this, several parts of the theme have been updated so screen readers and keyboard navigation work as expected.
The mobile menu drawer and cart drawer are now fully removed from keyboard navigation while closed, so links inside them can no longer be reached by tabbing when they aren't visible on screen.
Slider arrows in product and collection carousels are now announced properly by screen readers instead of being hidden while still reachable by keyboard, and every product in a carousel can be reached by tabbing.
Star ratings and colour swatches now carry the correct roles, so their descriptions are read out as intended rather than being announced as rows of star characters.
A clean pass for AI agents too
Together these changes give the theme a clean pass on the agentic browsing checks in Google PageSpeed Insights, meaning AI agents and assistant tools can navigate and interact with storefronts reliably.
