Why do UAE stores pay extra on Shopify?
Shopify has its own payment system, Shopify Payments. In the UAE it is only open to some stores on Shopify's most expensive plans. Everyone else must connect an outside payment gateway.
When you use an outside gateway, Shopify adds its own fee to every order: 2% on Basic and 1% on Grow. Your gateway still charges its normal card fee on top.
